Fuel Bill with a Direct-Injection Engine
Many of Kubota's diesel
engines incorporate an advanced direct injection combustion system that
can reduce fuel consumption by as much as 20% compared with conventional
swirl combustion and precombustion chamber systems. This highly-efficient
direct-injection combustion system places the combustion chamber in a
cavity in the top of the piston itself in order to minimize power-robbing
gas leakage and to prevent heat loss. It also has a swirl-type design
inlet ports for more efficient mixing of air and fuel. Add it all up,
and you have a highly-efficient diesel engine with powerful performance
and superior fuel economy.
